Advantage: You can get all movies right away. Even on downloads there is new technology that allows you to watch the movie after only 30 seconds or so of the movie has been downloaded. This is a great feature. No waiting for movies in the mail. No waiting for pay-per-view times. You are not charged late fees.

Disadvantage: Speed of download or stream is dependent on your internet connection. The quality is not yet at the same level of store bought DVD’s. Time limitations on viewing periods are not good. Movie selection can be limited. Better titles are being added but still not at the selection level of a traditional retail video store.
