Netflix Offers $1M
Help Netflix improve there business and get a $1 million dollars. I guess this can be taken two ways.
1. The people they hire are not smart enough to figure this out.
2. They want user input to validate their ideas?
Not sure which is right or maybe it’s a combo of both. However they succeeded in getting this into the news and on to my blog. Well worth the $1 million they will eventually payout.

Superman Returns
This is kind of surprising. the studios being progress on price and release date? Oh, wait only in China. Both sides of the battle cease to amaze me!
“That doesn’t surprise me,” said Mark Horak, executive vice president and general manager of Warner Home Video, Asia Pacific and Latin America. “But at least now a consumer there has a choice of buying a legitimate copy, of higher quality and with all the extras, for not much more.”The Mandarin-language DVDs cost more than what counterfeit DVDs typically sell for. The single-disc “Superman Returns” costs about $1.75 (14 yuan), while the two-disc special edition is available for $2.75.

today for their DVD burning technology at thesame time the movie is released in all the majorretail stores. The cost for the downloadableDVD is $9.95.See Tokyo Drift here:
This announcement marks the first time a major
studio has released a DVD both in retail stores
and for purchase online. Normally a title would
not be offered online for download for a minimum
of six weeks and sometimes much longer.
CinemaNow’s technology allows consumers to
download the Full DVD including all the extras
and menus and burn them to a standard DVD which
can then be watched on your TV using any DVD player.
Currently Cinemanow is the only online movie service
that has this technology. Apple is working on a
solution which will not be available until next
year. Movielink also has something in the works
but is not willing to comment on a timeline. No
word from Amazon.

Hugh Jackman says he’s hoping to begin filming his X-Men spin-off film, Wolverine, sometime next year. That would mean a 2008 debut for the film.Jackman recently talked to Comics Continuum while promoting the Oct. 2 release of X-Men: The Last Stand on DVD.”For me as an actor, it’s an amazing part,” Jackman said. “I think Wolverine, in, not just the comic-book genre, but any kind of action movie, is one of the great parts. I love playing him, and it’s a challenge.”
