Alleged MPAA spy details come out

More details come forward on the alleged spy for hire case involving MPAA.
Greg Sandoval, of news.com, reports the following

“I contacted (the MPAA) and offered to provide it information regarding (Torrentspy.com founder) Justin Bunnell and Torrentspy,” according to a signed statement by Robert Anderson, the man identified elsewhere in the filing as a “hacker.””

This is playing out more and more like a moive. It is alleged “by Valence Media is that as part of its attempt to gather information on Torrentspy, the MPAA hired private investigators to comb the trash cans of Torrentspy executives.”

So what is boils down to is the MPAA thinks it’s ok to break certain laws, such as privacy issues, but it’s not ok to break copyright laws.

If this all comes to light that the MPAA did in fact break the law, then the jury should hit them with a huge settlement. I don’t condone breaking copyright laws at all. But I can’t stand people or organizations who think they are above the law.
