Maggie Gyllenhaal almost quite the up coming 9/11 movie, directed by Oliver Stone.

Last year Gyllenhaal stated the United States “is responsible in some way” for the attacks on the world trade center. She was very concerned how Port Authority Officer William J. Jimeno and his wife, Allison would react to her role in the movie. She traveled to their home to have a sit down and explain her comments. If they did not want her in the movie post the meeting she would have dropped out. It looks like they have patched up the misunderstanding.

The film also stars Nicolas Cage.

Tom’s “odd behavior” over the last couple of years may have turned many people off to the actor and his movies. His latest release Mission Impossible 3 had a much lower than expected opening weekend. It opened about $10 million dollars less than Mission Impossible 2.

I personally I did not want to go see the movie in hopes as a consumer I could send a message to Tom. You have gone too far. As a teenager we loved him. “Risky Business” and “Top Gun” defined high school years for young teenage boys in the 1980-1990. We thought he was so cool. Fast forward to present time and it just seems like he has gone of the deep end. I am not sure I want to subsidize his “odd” behavior by buying tickets to his movie. I am glad I was not the only consumer to feel the same way.
